Judges 16:1
[1]THEN SAMSON went to Gaza and saw a harlot there, and went in to her.
Samson is one of the most adventurous men in the Bible, and this is one of the factors that caused his downfall.
Israel was God’s chosen race and His presence dwelt in Israel; it was the blessed place! And when Samson decided to take a stroll outside Israel, he fell in the trap of a harlot.

The thing is, when you leave the place of God’s presence, you become prone to attack! The devil cannot curse you or get his claws around you if you are in God’s presence, so he lures you out and it is there that He strikes. You’ll find yourself doing things against yourself at the inspiration of the devil!
Do not wander! Don’t just take unnecessary strolls;
you’re married and you say, “Oh let me just hear what this young lady has to offer…”.
Young people, “Oh let me just watch a little video, just 30 seconds of porn won’t hurt no one…”.
“Oh let me just take $5 from the company money, no one will see it…”
“Oh it’s just a little bit of touching, won’t get anywhere”
Ladies and gentlemen, do not stray away from the blessed places of God’s presence! When you find yourself compromising and coming up with excuses and reasons which don’t align to God’s word that’s a red flag for you, Come back Home.
Don’t wander away from your marriage, your integrity, God’s standard, your mission, your ministry and your purpose. There are STIs out there, depression, bankruptcy, shame, disappointment, emptiness, sin and addictions out there, stay put!
Samson was supposed to be judging Israel, but he took a walk to Gaza, and just because had left Israel, the women started looking a little bit more curvier than usual and a lot more enticing than usual. It’s not the lady, it’s the location! Are you in God? Are you still in the presence?
We ought not to judge Samson, for we are prone to this as well. But thank God for His word, He has shown you and I today that in Him, we have a Psalm 91- type of life and when we wander, we expose ourselves to the leadership of our weaknesses.
Do not wander
Stay in the house
