Genesis 37:5-8
[5]Now Joseph had a dream and he told it to his brothers, and they hated him still more.
[6]And he said to them, Listen now and hear, I pray you, this dream that I have dreamed:
[7]We [brothers] were binding sheaves in the field, and behold, my sheaf arose and stood upright, and behold, your sheaves stood round about my sheaf and bowed down!
[8]His brothers said to him, Shall you indeed reign over us? Or are you going to have us as your subjects and dominate us? And they hated him all the more for his dreams and for what he said.
May God help us to move away from the tendency of thinking that when someone does great things they are now a threat, instead of an inspiration!!
Joseph was destined to rule in Egypt, and when the prophetic dreams came his brothers failed to see the deliverance of the entire family that lay in his success, rather they saw the order of authority in the family shifting and felt threatened. And so they tried to alter the course of his life by selling him off, little did they know that they were actually stepping stones to Joseph’s destiny.
It’s a waste of time to play evil against someone who is living out their God-given purpose, because God will always fight for them!
May God help us not to fall prey to envy and jealousy, but to wait for God to usher us jnto our own destinies.
God will use every situation and plot that your enemies use against you to take your life to the next level!
